ExoCare
ExoCare – risk management and predictability Exocon’s district heating production solutions bring continuous monitoring, optimisation and reporting to production, helping to keep both technical and financial risks under control.
ExoCare enables:
- transparency and predictability in production
- performance verification for large-scale projects
- predictive maintenance and high availability
- a foundation for Heat-as-a-Service models
Typical applications:
- Electrification of baseload district heating production
- Large, phased heat pump plants
- District cooling and waste heat recovery
- Customer-specific alternative heating solutions
- Off-grid heating and cooling sites
ExoCare – an additional service that ensures the solution performs as promised
ExoCare is an additional service offered by Exocon to customers who purchase an Exocon heat pump solution. The purpose of the service is to ensure that the system performs in practice as designed and promised – continuously and reliably.
ExoCare is an integral part of our products. Through it, we take on part of the customer’s technical and financial risk, making large investments predictable. The customer knows in advance how the system will perform, how much it will produce, and what its financial and climate impact will be.
COP and CO₂ commitment as an additional service
ExoCare enables performance guarantees for industrial-scale air-to-water heat pumps. The customer knows in advance how much the system will produce – and Exocon commits to this under the agreed operating conditions.
The commitment is based on site-specific simulation, measured operational data and continuous monitoring. These are not theoretical figures, but actual performance under real conditions.
Simulation before the investment decision
The ExoCare service includes site-specific simulation, which determines the system’s sizing, output, electricity consumption, OPEX and CO₂ impact. This means the customer understands the financial viability of the solution before making an investment decision.
An air-based energy solution does not involve the uncertainties associated with ground conditions or boreholes, reducing project risk compared with many alternative solutions.
Monitoring and optimisation during operation
Systems covered by the ExoCare service are continuously monitored. Output, COP and load are tracked in real time, and any deviations are addressed proactively. The system can be optimised according to conditions and operational needs to keep performance at the agreed level.
Support for hybrid solutions and larger systems
ExoCare is also suitable for hybrid solutions in which heat pumps operate together with other heating and cooling systems. The service supports integrating the system into a wider energy system and, where required, connecting it to energy markets via interfaces.
