Exocon – next-generation energy solutions for northern conditions

Exocon combines refrigeration technology, software and service into next-generation energy solutions.

Exocon was founded in 2020 with the aim of bringing to market a heat pump solution genuinely designed for northern and variable conditions. Our solution has been developed for an increasingly electrified heating market, in which heating is evolving from simple consumption into intelligent, controllable and optimisable energy production.

We develop our solutions ourselves and take full responsibility for their design, productisation and overall delivery from start to finish. In addition to our own in-house expertise, we draw on an extensive network of specialists and partners, giving us access to the best resources in the field. Our solutions are designed and manufactured in Finland, because to us, being Finnish-made means high quality, operational reliability, and a responsible approach to building products for demanding northern use.

Reliability and security of supply in extreme conditions
Our starting point is simple: the system must work where conditions are most demanding. Exocon solutions are designed to produce heat reliably under variable loads and even in temperatures as low as –35°C. When heat pumps produce heat efficiently at times of peak demand, the need for direct electric heating decreases and the load on the electricity grid is reduced. At the same time, we are helping to build societal security of supply.

Responsibility and smart technology
We use natural refrigerants and energy-efficient technology to help reduce emissions and improve the efficiency of energy systems. At the heart of our development are the use of data, predictive control, energy storage, and the utilisation of waste heat within a flexible energy market.

Sustainable lifecycle and real performance
Our products are designed for long-term use and are built for a lifecycle of up to 30 years – even longer with proper maintenance. Our standardised, scalable product model enables consistent quality, cost-efficient manufacturing and predictable delivery.

Real performance is what matters. We assess functionality under real operating conditions, taking defrost cycles and weather variation into account. That is why we talk about measurable annual output, rather than isolated test-point figures.

Customer success at the core
We focus not just on the equipment, but on the real benefit to the customer. Our work begins before delivery: using simulation, sizing and calculation tools, we ensure the right solution for the site, its functionality, and the achievable savings.

After delivery, our support continues through ExoCare services and ExoFlex optimisation, which combine the equipment, digital control and performance assurance. Remote monitoring, optimisation, performance tracking and ongoing support are available to the customer throughout the entire lifetime of the system.
